SHOOTING STATISTICS

  • Active Shooter Events Happen Everywhere-Schools, Malls, Movie Theaters, Hospitals, public events and the workplace.

COURSE INFO


REQUIREMENTS

  • Proper attire- ball cap, closed toe footwear, etc.
  • A semi-auto handgun* or revolver, hip-holster (we now make Kydex holsters–Call us for details), magazine pouch with at least 2 extra magazines (or 2 speed reloaders), and a belt.
  • Safety glasses and hearing protection (those hard of hearing must wear electronic ear muffs)
  • Minimum of 350 rounds of ammo
  • A packed lunch and plenty of water
  • A safe mindset and positive attitude
  • An Uplula Universal Speed loader is HIGHLY recommended (you won’t regret the purchase of one)
  • Knee pads will be provided
  • No Criminal Background. Background checks are an additional $7.50, you will not need this if you are a previous student

RENTALS

  • Handgun rentals and hearing protection available upon request

DAY 1

  •  The mindset and physical skills required for responding to an active shooter.
  • How to respond to an active shooter, a one size fits all does not apply, multiple response options are critical.
  • Counter response measures.                                                                          
  • Clearing a building to engage an active shooter.  How to respond when Law Enforcement arrives on the scene
  • Active shooter case studies to increase YOUR chance of survival.
    First day uses live scenarios using airsoft guns requiring students to think quickly in chaos to prepare students for a real active shooter event.
  • Hands on barricading techniques that work with everyday items.
    Tools to evaluate the level of preparedness of your workplace for an active shooter and your workplace vulnerabilities.
  • How to prepare your family for an active shooter event and develop a family plan.
  • How to talk with young children about an active shooter.

DAY 2

  • Day will start reviewing shooting fundamentals.                                          
  • Using cover and concealment with different kneeling positions            
  • Distance shooting
  • How to navigate through a chaotic crowd
  • Hostage drills
  • The day concludes with Live simunition drills using shoot house:
