COURSE INFO

REQUIREMENTS

  • Revolver or Semi-auto Handgun
  • Outside the waistband Hip holster
  • 50 Rounds of Ammunition
  • One Magazine or Speed Loader (for revolver), 2 preferred
  • Eye/Ear Protection (Rentals avail $2 each)
  • Proof of no criminal background (you need to be able to legally purchase a firearm)                                                                                   
  •  We accept a TWIC card, hospital/nursing home employee ID, school district employee ID as proof of no criminal background. Otherwise background check is an additional $7.50
  • Appropriate clothing (ball cap, closed toe footwear, turtleneck top, etc.)
  • A safe mindset and positive attitude

COURSE SYNOPSIS

  • This is a basic course covering: firearm safety, principles of self-defense, using a handgun for self-defense, shooting fundamentals with emphasis on Modern Pistol Technique, drawing from a holster and getting familiar with both the revolver and semiautomatic handgun.
